Cleo Has Been Homed

Cleo has been homed.

She is an average sized, fawn, spayed bitch with a shy and timid nature around people that she does not know.

Cleo walks nicely on the lead as a rule, but if she becomes fearful she can become a little more challenging. We could however not really call her strong.

Cleo was born in January 2008.

Cleo has been returned to us from a home situation as a result of a divorce. She will need a companion dog or bitch for confidence and comfort as she is very much a dog orientated dog when worried. She’s gently affectionate with people that she trusts.

She used to be frightened of just about anything, but we are told this has improved considerably. We need to get re-acquainted with Cleo before being able to give a more in depth description of her character. She was a new arrival as of 12/11/11.

  1. Hello again ! Just to let his freinds at Lifeline know that Parker really loves his home here with me. I realized early on that only ‘softly ,softly’ would get results with this lad,and it has been well worth the effort to adjust from my previous confident Hound to one that looks to me to reasure him when he is confronted with any new situation.Actually it’s rather endearing that he accepts my word without question.{ especially when on occasion I tell little white lies} Last evening whilst watching Telly,we were plunged into darkness, and as always in such situations you wish you could remember where you had left the blasted torch! As I groped my way toward what I hoped was the kitchen, I became aware that I was most certainly not alone.Parker was firmly attached to my heels! .There is,however one unresolved issue over which my word accounts for nothing, and that is his socializing skills { or more likely the lack thereof ] He has so far allowed Lurchers,Jack Russels, and a really soppy Staffy called Rollo to get in sniffing distance,But anything else is guarranteed to bring out the very worst in him.{ incidentally, did I read somewhere that one of your ‘Stooge’ dogs is a Staffy? Oddly enough I recently let him off lead ,muzzled, in a secure area at Farley Mount Winchester whereupon,he imediately joined a group of owners and some five or six Dogs. Huge sigh of relief as all was peaceful. The group finally left by another gate, and thankfully left Parker on the right side.I was some considerable way off and out of voice range but I could see that he looked lost.Eventually, the gap lessoned, and he started toward me in a manner that could in no way be desribed as responding to any request of mine to ‘come’ However,he finally reaches me ,looking decidedly shifty ! Some people who had apparently been watching, and who had in the past kept Greyhounds, came over to meet him,and to say that for a first Run off lead that it looked hopeful. But next day normal behaviour resumed ! But for now Happy Easter Love from Parker and Rosemary X
