Daisy Has Been Homed

Daisy has been homed.

Daisy is a small, un-raced, black bitch. She was born in May 2009, so she is still a youngster.  She walks nicely on the lead and is keen to get in a car for any outings.

Daisy can manage stairs with ease. She sleeps well at night.  She has been left for up to four hours, with canine company, but is un-tested on her own.

Daisy is currently sharing her foster home with three other greyhounds (two girls and one boy) and a GSD/terrier cross boy who is a day visitor and gets on well with all of them.

Daisy has passed our cat test. With caution and vigilance in the early days of adoption we feel that she will learn to live safely with cats.

Daisy has experienced a lot of changes in her short life which has left her somewhat unsure of the world around her. She needs a quiet home with adults only or possibly older children. She is a timid little girl at the moment, but is friendly and very happy to be made a fuss of.

Her foster mum reports that even after a few days Daisy is gaining in confidence and feels that once in the right home she will develop in to a happy and much more confident girl. She is already waiting at the front door with a wagging tail when her foster mum comes home. Daisy just wants to find her forever home and be able to settle down without constant changes in home and routine. If you are looking for a friendly, gentle dog, Daisy is the girl for you.

We do not have much medical history for Daisy, but she has seen our vet and been given a clean bill of health. The vet is fairly confident that she has been spayed, but we cannot guarantee this without a surgical procedure which is of course daft to go ahead with if she has already has been spayed. In view of this uncertainty, if she goes to live with canine companions they must be other bitches or castrated males only. If she comes into season, which be believe is unlikely then we will of course finance her spaying as soon as is practical afterwards. A very unusual situation for us, but we hope you appreciate our honesty and caution.
