Lucy has been homed.

She is a small sized, blue and white, mature spayed bitch who was born in July 2003.

Lucy is a gentle and extremely well behaved girl, who walks beautifully on a lead. She is quietly affectionate, but not pushy or demanding. She is house trained, quiet and non-destructive and she can be left for reasonable periods in the company of other dogs. Un-tested on her own, but this can be done upon request.

Lucy suffers from arthritic joints (not surprising in such a mature dog) and will need lifetime pain relief. We are prepared to support the cost of this medication only on an ongoing basis if requested by her adopter.

Amazingly Lucy can still manage to jump into and out of a car, but if you have a high tail gate on your vehicle assistance for both would be recommended to save stress to her arthritic joints. She travels well and is no bother at all.

Lucy can currently manage two fifteen minute walks a day at a steady pace, but this may need to be reduced as she ages further.

Lucy is one of 8 greyhounds in her foster home and she is totally sociable with them all. She is however blind in one eye so if approached quietly from her blind side she occasionally gets spooked/worried by both people and/or other dogs.

Being an older lady, albeit one that can still have a mad dash around the garden we would prefer she is not placed with young and boisterous children. She is however happily residing an a busy adult household and she manages all the comings and goings easily.

Having had a dental after coming into our care she now only has one tooth left. This however does not stop her from eating her kibble and meat at all, or softer treats. In fact now the painful teeth are long gone she has regained her appetite and is enjoying meals again.

Lucy is sociable with other dogs of all sizes and can be cat tested upon request.
