Pippa has been homed.

She is an average sized, black, spayed bitch.

Pippa’s foster carer reports: “She’s doing really well. She is house-trained, and is quiet and well-behaved in the house. She shares quite happily with Ted (another greyhound).

Pippa is very affectionate and likes attention, although she’s not as needy as she seemed at first. She has settled down well with Ted and is fine with most other dogs.

Pippa can be very lively on the lead, as she gets excited especially if she wants to play. She is also very inquisitive and wants to explore everything she sees, but she is much better on the lead than she was at first. I have started doing some recall training with her and she is responding well while on the long line.

Definitely no cats! She is hard to control when she sees a cat when we are walking along the street – she has a strong chase instinct.”

This young lady would be ideal in a home with children over 10 years old.

“Pippa is learning to do stairs. She can do it, but isn’t too happy about it. She still needs to build confidence through lots of encouragement.

Pippa likes to play with toys – and with other items left lying around!

I think she would be ok as an only dog if the owner was around most of the time.

She likes to be out and about , so longer walks would suit Pippa best.

She’s happy to meet people, not overly friendly at first, but no nervousness at all. She’s very affectionate and likes a good cuddle.

She is much better on the lead now, walks very nicely most of the time. Her recall is improving, and I have let her off lead a couple of times in a secure fenced in area and she’s been fine. I think she needs a bit more socialisation with other dogs, especially small ones still.”
