Rocky Has Been Homed

Rocky 2

Rocky has been homed.  14/2/15.

He is a large sized, friendly and confident black male who was born in May 2010.

Rocky walks nicely on a lead, keen to get into a car for his outings and travels well once inside.  He enjoys his walks, meeting new people, however Rocky can get a little excited if he sees a squirrel or a cat so a tight hold of the lead is required with this boy for these odd occasions!

He has met other breeds of dog and gives us no cause for concern around those of large and medium size. Rocky still requires further socialisation and training before he learns to accept smaller breeds of dog.

Rocky is starting to enjoy playing with toys especially cuddly ones, he also adores a good game of chase with people.  Rocky enjoys most of all a good cuddle laying next to you on the sofa, he will snuggle right up to you and be quite content for the evening keeping your lap nice and warm!

Rocky

Rocky is currently in foster with four other greyhounds, he gets on really well with them and is happy to share beds and the toys around him.  He is quiet during the day and can be left for several hours without any problems.  Rocky is very good with food and will take treats gently from your fingers. He feeds with his foster brothers and sister around him and leaves them to eat their own food.  He is house trained and can walk on laminate flooring without any problems, he can not climb stairs.  He loves to play with his fellow greyhound friends, chasing them around the garden.  He will also lay with a toy and play on his mat with it.  Rocky is a very polite boy and will wait at the entrance to the kitchen for you to come out to him!  His best activity of the day is to have cuddles and tummy rubs on the sofa next to you!  He has a lovely calm nature and really just wants to please his owner.  Rocky has lost a bit of his hair from life in kennels, we are hoping this will grow back in time. This boy since being in the home environment has shown how well he can quickly settle into home living, taking all new experiences in his stride.  He will make an excellent addition to any family.

Rocky could be homed with children over 7 years of age, being a larger greyhound he could knock a younger child over in his play.

No cats or small fluffies please.  A cuddly giant who we feel if given training will progress in leaps and bounds to become a wonderful pet in being able to accept smaller breeds of dog.

Could this lovely boy be for you? He has waited far too long for his forever home.
