Rosie Has Been Homed

Rosie black bitch snowflake markings

Rosie has been homed.

She is an average sized, gentle, friendly, black, spayed bitch with a few white snowflake markings and she was born in May 2009.

Rosie walks very nicely on a lead, although the sight of a rabbit or cat will get her rather excited.

She has met other breeds of dog and given us no cause for concern around them. She would be suitable as an only pet or as a companion to another canine of medium size and above.

Rosie is back with us through no fault of her own, ill health of her previous adoptive owner necessitated Rosie’s return to us to look for a new home.

Rosie is very well behaved in the home. She is naturally clean, quiet and able to be left for reasonable periods without difficulty. Very well mannered around food too, to the point that she seems disinterested in it.

Rosie likes everyone, but given a choice she’ll seek out a man for a cuddle more often than not.

With toys Rosie simply isn’t quite sure what she’s supposed to do with them and pretty much ignores them, she will occasionally have a half hearted attempt and chewing on a bone but generally for Rosie playtime involves a game of chase with the other greyhounds in the home or she’ll make you laugh with her spinning in a circle antics.

Rosie would suit almost any family situation and she’d be fine around young children aged 3 years and over.

We feel that Rosie has the potential to make a brilliant therapy dog for anyone whose interests lie with visiting care homes etc.

Previously we have been told that Rosie is an escape artist and that does need secure and high fencing. We’ve not seen any evidence of escape attempts since her arrival in her foster home (since early July 13), but as for all our other greyhounds too,  secure 6ft fencing would be a requirement of adoption.

No cats please.
