Treacle has been homed.

She is a medium size, friendly, blue spayed female who was born in December 2011. Treacle is relatively young still and would be ideal in an active home with lots going on and someone around most of the day. She loves cuddles and gives you lots of kisses!

Treacle enjoys going for walks and she walks very nicely on a lead provided there is nothing chase worthy around her. She is happy to get into a car if you help her climb in, she settles down nicely ready for the off once inside.  She will jump out all by herself.

Treacle has met other breeds of dog and has given us no cause for concern around those of large breed. She does however need considerably more socialisation, re-training and experience of meeting smaller breeds of dog before she learns to accept them.

Treacle may be lovely with people, but she is not an easy prospect around non greyhound breeds of dog. She will likely be a long term challenge on the socialisation front, but with regular exposure, correction and reward for positive responses she will start to make progress. A tight collar (so she cannot slip it whilst doing acrobatics to escape) and use of a muzzle are essential as is a handler able to read dog body language and correct her before trouble occurs.

No cats or small fluffies please.

Treacle would best suit a home as an only pet or she’d be fine as a companion to a large breed male dog. Not suitable to live with other bitches as Treacle likes to be the only princess in her world. She is however absolutely fine meeting and walking out with other female dogs.

Treacle is a new arrival as of 8/2/15 as we get to know her better more information will be available.
