Artie Has Been Homed

Artie

Artie has been homed 30/5/15.

He was born in October 2010.

He is a small, quiet, slightly reserved black, castrated male.

He loves going for walks and he walks very nicely on the lead however can be a little wary in new surroundings.

He is happy to jump into the car for his outings and settles down nicely ready for the off!

Artie would be best suited as a companion to a female dog.  This would allow him to grow in confidence but he could be an only dog, if he was with someone who was around for part of the day.  Due to Artie being slightly reserved he would be best in a calm household, in an adult only home or with older teenagers.

Artie likes to chase toys that are thrown, he especially likes to carry small balls but will put them down for you to throw again.  He also is quite fond of cuddly toys.

He loves his food and will give you a clean bowl at every meal!

Artie does love a cuddle but currently needs you to get down to his level and then he will be happy to have a fuss made of him.  We are confident with time he will grow in confidence and show his true character!

Artie

Artie has been tested with other dogs and would be able to live with medium to large dogs.  He needs further socialisation with smaller breeds to be 100% reliable around them.

He is fine to walk on laminated flooring, he can not climb stairs.

Artie has not passed his cat test.

Artie is ready for his new home, he needs his own family so his confidence can grow and he can go out and start making sense of the big world around him.  He is going to need a family who has time to allow his personality to blossom and patience whilst working with him.  Artie is not going to change overnight but with consistency, he can build his trust up and learn that life can be fun.  Could he be for you?
