Jim Has Been Homed

Jim 2

Jim has been homed.

He is a tall, but leanly built white and black, castrated male who was born in April 2008.

Jim walks very nicely on a lead, he travels well and he is happy to get in and out of a car for his outings.

He is familiar with other breeds of dog and has given us no cause for concern around dogs of any size.

Jim has previously lived successfully with a cat, so given a cautious introduction and close monitoring in the early days of introducing a new cat or cats there is no reason that he could not do this again.

Jim is clean in the house, he can be left without problems for up to 5 hours and he is quiet and non destructive as well. Unusually he has not so far shown any sign of wanting to steal shoes or anything else either that has been left around.

Jim 1

In the home he is exceptionally well behaved generally, but he is not quite perfect.

Jim’s not so perfect trait is that of uncontrollable excitement when it’s walking time. The sound of the lead and Jim becomes a very bouncy, overly excited hooligan. For this reason (and the fact that he is a mouther) we are seeking a home with children of 10 years old and above and one where no one unstable on their feet lives too. Once out of the door Jim is perfectly behaved again.

Jim plays nicely with toys, although he sometimes needs a bit of encouragement to start playing. He enjoys squeaky toys especially, but he does remain nicely mannered with them.

Jim is prone to “happy tail” injuries and he is very capable of giving your legs, furniture, ornaments or walls a real whipping and possibly leaving some red marks behind him too. A good supply of sticky tape and soft dressings for his tail are recommended.

Jim 2

Jim is terrified of shiny floors so no homes with laminate or tiled floors please, unless a lot of rugs can be provided for him.  He has now learned to managed going up and down carpeted stairs.

He will need a companion to either sex and any size of canine and he’d be fine to live with a cat (after correct introductions and monitoring) too.
