Lady's Greyhound Blog - Part 1

Dear Greyhound Lifeline,

Thank you for finding me a new home, it seems OK, I think I’ll probably stay here. It needed a lot of checking out, weird smells I can tell you.  Oh, by the way, I slept for most of the time in my car.

I tried to share their food, but they were so mean they wouldn’t let me, they pushed me away,  it was on a sort of platform, they called it a dining table, after they’d finished I jumped onto it but then I couldn’t get down, Huh!

After exploring for a time I went up a hill, a lot of little ledges, they called them stairs, then I couldn’t get down again, it was really scary. Not sure if I want to repeat that in a hurry. I jumped on a nice soft platform called a bed but I was made to get off it, how mean is that? I ask you!  I panted a bit, as Jane said I would, that made me thirsty so I drank quite a lot, of course I enjoyed a wee on that nice soft floor.

We all went for a walk, a weird gate called a kissing gate, didn’t like that. I met Brandy, a Brindle cousin, she is eight. The missus put my muzzle on the wrong way and it dropped off, Brandy wasn’t wearing one so John carried mine, we didn’t see any other dogs, but phew! They’d been around alright, maybe I’ll see some of them tomorrow. I looked at my garden and couldn’t wait to explore it, I had to wait until we came back from walking, it was great, off the lead and I ran about a bit.

Soon I had my tea and then stretched out for a nap. Suddenly strange noises woke me up from my sweet dreams, then there was all that chattering, it was a phone, I can do without that. I was taken outside for a wee then back inside for another kip. Yeh, think I might stay.

Thanks ladies (and gents) for looking after me while I was with you.

Lots of Love

Lady.
