It’s been quite some time since I last put pen to paper (or should I say, fingertips to keyboard) but time gets away from us all as we become engrossed in our everyday routines. As greyhound owners our lives are particularly enriched by those everyday tasks associated with taking care of our four-legged best friends…..and so the clock ticks on relentlessly. There’s no escaping this passing of time but it really has been too long since I last shared my experiences of living with our delightful trio Milgi, Meg and Obie. Things always happen in threes, so they say.
“Oh dear, what’s happened to this chap?” said the judge.
I proceeded with a brief explanation, to which the judge replied - “That’s not the best start, is it?”
Honestly? I’ll confess then…..
Tales from the Riverside or perhaps that should be ‘Tails on the Riverside’, because it’s not every day that you find yourself sitting in a stream with your underwear and wellington boots filling with icy water.

Not even September yet but I already had a distinct sense of autumn. Chilly mornings meant that my fleece hooded dressing gown was a welcome friend, and even the leaves had begun to fall from one of the fruit trees in the garden.
