Jack |
| Description: |
Jack is in kennels near Fleet, Hampshire. He suffers from an auto immune disease. In simple terms Jack's body rejects his toe nails and they fall off. There is no cure and the condition will affect him for the duration of his life. We believe Jack's supplements and medication now have the disease sufficiently under control that Jack is able to once again lead a perfectly normal life with little or no pain when a nail does "shed" periodically. The necessary medication (for this condition only) can be provided for Jack without cost to the adopter if required.
Jack was born in April 2004 and he is a confident, friendly, affectionate and very handsome, large sized, blue brindle male.
Jack is very good on a lead most of the time. He travels well and is keen to get into a car for his outings.
Jack has met other breeds of dog and if correctly introduced he gives no cause for concern. He is however not suitable to be allowed off the lead in public places and we would require the adopter to agree to always muzzle Jack for his outings. (Jack suffers from fear aggression toward unknown dogs.)
A physically strong, experienced owner would be essential for Jack as being a very large, muscular lad he is exceptionally powerful if his chase intinct is triggered.
He would be best as an only pet, ideally in an adult home, but he could share with a greyhound bitch and older children.(Jack's condition is not contagious; it cannot be passed on to people or other animals.)
Enquiries about Jack should be directed by telephone or text message to Greyhound Lifeline on 07828 138378 or 07971 394184 or by email to information@greyhoundlifeline.co.uk. |
