Orca Has Been Found!

We are pleased to announce that Orca has been found alive and well.  He was found around 7.45pm last night in woodland/farm land after a tip off from a local resident.  Orca is now back with his family who are very thankful to everyone who helped in the search.

Greyhound Lifeline would like to thank everybody who has helped in the search both physically – searching the local area and also to everyone who has been spreading the word through social media.

September has seen four greyhounds find their new homes and we have another two that have been reserved so far.  Well done girls and boys.

Our longest stayer greyhound in our care is Annie who has been with us for 16 months, she is a fun, loving girl who needs a confident owner to keep a check on this spirited little lady! Please visit her own page under the Greyhound Gallery for more information on her.

Kennel Training Sessions:

Do you own a non sighthound dog?

Can you help our kennel greyhounds?

We are looking for non sighthound dogs to help us in the training and socialisation of our kennel greyhounds.

Would you be prepared to help us once a month?

If the answer is yes to the above we would love to talk to you! We are looking to set up a training group on a Saturday to help our kennel greyhounds adjust to the ‘outside world’ with other dogs. We are looking for large, medium, small, fluffy, calm, excited – all characters, non sighthound breeds to help us set up this group.

If you are interested in this project please get in touch. You can phone Lucy on 07769348310 or email us at [email protected] to find out more information.
