Success at the Fleet Street Collection.

On Saturday 30th September, Greyhound Lifeline had a street collection in Fleet.  We had a fantastic day, along the High Street we had four collection stations.  The greyhounds were all very well behaved – Lottie, Annie, Calli, Hammy, Arty, Jim, Snoopy, Mr T, Reggie, Blake and Izzy all attended.  Thank you to their owners for coming along too!

We had a lot of enquiries about how to become a volunteer as well as a keen interest in the greyhound representatives from the kennels, resulting in Snoopy having a viewing the very next day and he is now reserved.

The street collection raised a massive £638.92, thank you to everyone who came along and supported us.

Snoopy has been with us in kennels since February, he is a very special boy and we are all very excited that he has found his very special home.  He is a quiet boy but today when he met his new owner he was a different lad. His eyes twinkled and he snuggled in to him for a cuddle, Snoopy normally needs time to adjust to new people and show of his character.  Well done Snoopy.

A poem written by Snoopy and friends.

I may be a boy,
I may be larger than my fellow kennel mates,
I may not be perfect,
I may not be blue, white, fawn or brindle,
BUT…..
I know how to lean and give you those big puppy eyes,
I love to please you,
I’m trying my very best,
I can still have fun and lots of it!
I’m being very patient waiting and waiting,
All I want is my own family.
