Cleo is the First Adopted in 2012!

Adopted Greyhounds:

Cleo has been adopted. This one’s a double celebration as Cleo is our first adoption of 2012 and her new “parents” Cathy and Nigel get the award for being the first new members of our Club FF (Failed Fosterers) in 2012!

Macey has been adopted too. She went home on January 4th.

Reserved Greyhounds:

Bruno, our longest stay greyhound has been reserved! Like Cleo, he won’t be going far as he’ll be living permanently with his existing foster mum, Lucy. She’s fostered 16 greyhounds and this is just the second time she’s decided to keep one. Bruno is indeed a very lucky boy. Thank you Lucy, we can all finally stop worrying about getting Bruno a home.

Billy is also reserved and he’ll be heading off home toward the end of the month. In the mean time his family are visiting whenever they can. Lucky Billy will go home with people he’s got to know well.

Well Done to all our Staff and Assorted Volunteers!

In 2011 we found adoptive homes for 60 lucky greyhounds. That is an amazing figure in such a deep recession and even more amazing if you bear in mind that this was all achieved without so much as one penny in wages being paid to anyone! Greyhound Lifeline are staffed entirely by volunteers.

As of January 1st we have homed 285 greyhounds since our inception in May 2007. We are very pleased to have been able to help so many deserving dogs and we are looking forward to placing even more greyhounds into loving homes this year. It’s a never ending job as each time one greyhound leaves our kennel, it’s just a short time until another arrives to fill his/her place. There are always greyhounds waiting for a homing place.

Latest Greyhound Arrivals:

Jeeves is our latest arrival. He’s a small and very loving boy who came to us from the dog pound after being found straying. Find out about all our available greyhounds by visiting the Greyhounds Needing Homes Gallery.

Thank You!

Thank you to everyone who has kindly donated money, dog toys, treats, food, bedding and a whole variety of other goodies. We have been stunned by the generosity of spirit amongst our supporters.

Please may we ask that no more bedding be donated until further notice. Our latest problem is that of storage. A fantastic situation to be in, but we cannot take any more bedding until our stock pile has considerably reduced and we have room enough to move again.

Greyhound Lifeline Newsletter:

We hope to have regular newsletter available very soon. If you’d like to receive our newsletter then please join the Greyhound Lifeline Newsletter. Please be assured that your email address will not be passed to any third parties and you can of course opt to un-subscribe at any time.
