Jackson is in kennels near Fleet, Hampshire, he arrived with us on the 28th April 2020 and he was born on the 11th of October 2016.
He is a medium, affectionate and excitable, black male.
Jackson enjoys his walks, he generally walks nicely next to you, however can be strong if his chase instinct is triggered. He can be very nosey as he explores this outside world and does want to know what everyone is doing.
He travels well and is always very keen to get into the car. Jackson will lay down when the journey has started.
Jackson could be an only pet or live with a female greyhound in an adult only home and he’d be fine to be left unattended for a few hours.
He knows his name and responds very well to his handler, if there isn’t anything else on offer that is more interesting!
This boy loves to play, watch your legs though whilst he is running as he sometimes forgets where he is going! Jackson loves to play bow with his human friends but only if you do it to him too! The fun you can have with Jackson.
He adores toys, especially soft cuddly ones, the only problem is once he has caught one he will magpie it to his bed and then comes back for another until there is nothing left!
A house with lots of toys that he can call his own is a must for this boy!
He is a very affectionate boy that just loves being around people. Cuddles is something that Jackson does well in, he will snuggle in with either his head on your shoulder or under your arm and sometimes he even treats you to kisses as well.
As you can see from the photos, Jackson loves toys, its hard to get a photo without him carrying one! We all know what will be on his Christmas list!
He needs a confident owner who can correct his behaviour when he is excited.
Jackson has met other breeds of dog and currently needs more socialisation around smaller breeds, he responds very well to correction and to his handler once he has built up trust with them. He has been to a few training sessions now and each time he is remembering the skills he needs to be able to be calm around other breeds of dog. What a clever boy he is!
He adores food and tries to sniff it out without his human friends noticing! Watch out for any food on the work surfaces as it won’t be there long with this cheeky boy around!
No cats or small fluffies please.
