Yoda Has Been Homed

Yoda has been homed – 12/5/19.

He is a large sized, stocky, affectionate, black, male who was born on 7th April 2012.

This boy is not a fussy eater and he’s always appreciative of your “cooking” whatever you serve, he loves his food! He also enjoys playing; either with you or with his toys.  Watch out for Yoda, he enjoys playing rough and this big bear can’t always stop running in time!  He is learning not to jump up and keep his four legs on the floor! Yoda responds very well to the word ‘no’.

Yoda would be fine as an only pet or as a companion to a laid back female greyhound in an adult home (or one with older teenagers) and he’d be fine to be left unattended for a few hours.  He can walk nicely on a lead but has the potential to be strong if he’s chase instinct is triggered.

He is very responsive to training and once gained trust with his handler will listen and respond very well.  He needs to continue his training around other breeds of dog and will need an greyhound owner to help him overcome his difficulties around unfamiliar dogs.  In the time Yoda has been with us he has gained trust with his training handler and he has accepted how he should behave around other breeds of dog, he now needs to practice these skills meeting more dogs in public places.  He will always need guidance from a confident owner but we are very pleased with the progress he has made so far.

If you are interested in Yoda, his training handler will spend time with you showing the techniques that he is familiar with to make the transition into home life and meeting new dogs very natural for him.

Is Yoda the greyhound for you?  Have you got lots of toys that you could share with him?  Please ask to meet this big, friendly boy, he`s character will surely win your hearts!
