We at Greyhound Lifeline would like to thank Jules and Bob for stepping in to foster Rocky at short notice whilst "intensive care" following a difficult and non-standard castration is required. Cathcart and Winn (our vets in Farnham) also deserve our thanks for their wise decision to keep Rocky with them overnight following his operation. Vets Now, the local emergency veterinary service, who performed Rocky's second "middle of the night" surgery which undoubtedly saved his life also receive our grateful thanks. Get well soon Rocky.
We are pleased to announce that our homeless greyhounds appeared in the printed April 2008 edition of "Rescue and Animal Care" magazine.
Emergency foster homes are required: Occassionally we need to care for a dog who is not best suited to kennel life and sometimes our kennels are full, but an urgent place is needed for a dog who may be at risk if we cannot help. If you think you may be able to provide temporary care for a greyhound in your own home please Contact Us for an informal discussion.

Boy or Girl highlights the common problem in greyhound rescue and re homing of finding homes for the greyhound males. Perhaps after reading through the page you might give equal consideration to adopting a boy.
Home checkers are still required in the following areas of Surrey, Hampshire and Berkshire: Maidenhead, Slough, Newbury, Petersfield, Guildford, and Woking. Home checker volunteers from other counties, Sussex and Wiltshire particularly are also welcome. Please contact us for an informal discussion if you think you may be able to help.
