Give Blood by Donating Your Greyhounds Blood

Our next Pet Blood Bank session is set for Sunday 20th November at the kennels. Please help to save the lives of desperately sick dogs everywhere by donating some of your dog’s blood. Each donation saves 4 other lives and as a bonus your dog will receive a lovely goody bag as a reward for being heroic. Acceptance criteria apply. To make a booking please email [email protected] or call 07868 380287. We hope to see you there.

Upcoming Greyhound Events

On Saturday 19th November Greyhound Lifeline will have a fund raising stall at the Cranleigh Lion Tamers Christmas Bazaar which is being held in Cranleigh Village Hall. We’ll be there from 10am until 1pm when Saara will be hoping to sell you a variety of Christmas goodies (sweets, pickles and canine Christmas treats are just a few of the things you could purchase).
Please come along and support our work by treating yourself to something nice for Christmas.

Remember, You Can Run Too

Congratulations to Kate, one of our Saturday staff for completing a recent 10k race around Fleet. Not only did Kate manage to run the distance in one hour and 3 minutes she also managed to raise around £200 for the Retired Greyhound Trust in the process.
Well done Kate!

Once again we owe our thanks to Penny and Adrian for their amazing and tireless work of fundraising. Over the past 5 weeks they have raised an amazing £490 for us through sales of their home made jams, pickles and cakes and through just one car boot sale. Thank you both.

The Kennel and Paddock Veterinary Rehabilitation and Hydrotherapy Centre had their Open Day last weekend and they have donated the money they raised from their raffle and tombola to Greyhound Lifeline. Thank you to Kennel and Paddock for thinking of us. They have also done a fantastic job and are still working with Heather, an adopted greyhound puppy (now adolescent) who was born disabled.

We also owe our thanks to Mo for representing us recently at the opening of the new Pets at Home Store in Fareham. Mo also did a meet and greet at the store on Sunday 2nd October. Photos from both days are in our Events and Occasions Gallery.

Kate, one of our volunteer kennel staff and proud owner of a greyhound is going to be taking part in her first 10k race on 23rd October and she would like to take the opportunity to raise money for The Retired Greyhound Trust. If you’d like to sponsor her please visit Kate’s Just Giving Page. All donations are welcome, no matter how small.

Thank you for your support.
