Lucy Has Been Homed

Lucy black greyhound

Lucy has been homed.

She is a friendly and affectionate, petite, young, black bitch who was born in April 2010.

Lucy walks nicely on a lead. She has met other breeds of dog and given us no cause for concern around them. She would be suitable as an only pet or as a companion to a male dog of any size. (She would however be unlikely to suit as a companion to another greyhound. She is extremely selective about which ones she likes on not shy about telling the ones she does not approve of to go away!)

Lucy passed our cat test and with caution and vigilance in the early days we fell she will be able to learn to live safely with cats.

She is able to manage stairs and laminate flooring, but is scared of walking on tiled floors.

Lucy is fine traveling in a car although she is currently rather difficult to get into a car and then once inside, she later refuses to get out again. A strange girl indeed.

Tiny by greyhound standards Lucy is walked in a whippet collar as the greyhound collars are too big for her!

Lucy needs to learn some meet and greet manners around people. She has not yet learned not to throw herself at people in an effort to say hello. She is therefore not suitable for young children or those not 100% stable on their feet since although tiny this girl “packs a punch” of surprising power.  A work in progress in that respect, but we hope to be able to remove this part of her description before too long.

Lucy is a new arrival as of 01/04/12 and more information will appear as soon as possible.
