Rambo Has Been Homed

Rambo has been homed – 21.10.23.

Rambo is in foster care in Southampton, Hampshire, he arrived in our care on the 18th September 2023 and he was born on the 24th September 2018.

This lad is super friendly and loves being with his human friends.

Rambo walks nicely on a slack lead, this boy will walk next to you, wagging his tail with a big smile on his face.  Rambo is a boy that likes to please.  He loves going out for his walks and even better if there is a car ride too.  He can easily jump into the car and will lay down once the journey has started.

He is a gentle boy, enjoys his time with his human friends, a real cuddle bunny and a leaner too!  Rambo loves his toys which he will take gentle from you, tennis balls and cuddly toys are his favourite.

This food driven lad goes crazy for food or treats, he takes treats gentle from your hand, he’s not fussy, will eat anything you give him.  Rambo knows when it is food time and will wait patiently for his turn.  Once started, his food doesn’t last long and he is soon making his bowl shiny again, ready for his next mealtime!  Our Rambo just loves a juicy bone and will chew it nicely, cleaning his teeth at the same time!

Rambo enjoys food puzzles and brain games especially if there is food involved, he enjoys working out the puzzle and then getting his reward.  Our Rambo is very patient when playing with these toys.

This boy has taken to home life very well, he knows that toileting is for outside only!

Rambo sleeps well at night and will stay quiet until he sees you again in the morning.

He does enjoy being in the kitchen and when tempted he will take a quick look on top of the surfaces, especially if your back is turned!  Rambo does know the commands ‘off’ and ‘no’ which he will respond to when told to.

This lad shows us no fear towards household noises including washing machine and hoover.  He does enjoy watching dogs that may come on the TV and especially if they are barking!  Home living has come very natural for this adorable boy.

After a day of action Rambo is gets so tired, he enjoys a good sleep on his bed, happy to share it with his greyhound friends.  He is quiet when on his own but will always have a waggy tail and a smiley face waiting in the morning to greet you with, he really is a special boy.

Rambo has met a range of non greyhounds up close and also running around in the park, he has taken it all in his stride and just watches them.  He is still trying to work out if they are dogs like him as they look different but he acts very positive around them.  Rambo now needs to continue seeing other dogs in a variety of situation so he becomes more familiar with them.  He has had a variety of walks since arriving with us and each walk he is very polite when meeting other dogs and people.

A good run around with other greyhounds is something that Rambo enjoys, he loves to play bow and chase his friends.  This lad loves to dig in the sand pit and always ends up covered in sand!

This happy chap could be homed as an only dog or live with other sighthounds, with carefully introductions he could live with other breeds that are medium size and above.  Rambo could be homed to a family with children over the age of 8 years.  He can get excited at times and run at lightning speed, he may accidently knock a smaller person over so children who are used to bigger dogs would be ideal.

He is an adorable boy who certainly is one you would like to see.  Call us now and arrange a viewing.
