Vinny Has Been Homed

Vinny

Vinny has been homed.

He is a medium size, happy, black, male who was born in June 2011.

Vinny walks nicely on a normal greyhound lead.  He enjoys getting ready for his outings and will jump with ease into the car and settles down quickly ready for the off.

This boy loves his toys, he enjoys chasing after cuddly ones, balls of all sizes and squeaky toys.  He also enjoys playing football, although you will need to play with two balls as Vinny likes to keep hold of one whilst you play!  Currently Vinny can be reluctant to share his toys, he needs to learn to share his toys in a positive manner.  He needs clear boundaries so he knows the expectations and learns to respects and trust his owner.  Given the right boundaries and in the short time Vinny has been with us he has responded very positively to his training with toys.

He enjoys his food and will wait for you to put the bowl down before helping himself.  Vinny will always give you a clean bowl and even give it a quick polish once finished!  He enjoys a range of treats and will take them gentle from your hand or will run and wait on his bed for you to bring it to him.  A lovely lad who is keen to please once he understands the boundaries.

Vinny would be best suited as an only dog or with a female dog of any size.  He would be fine to be left for a few hours at a time.  He enjoys his cuddles and will often lean into you for a fuss.  Another favourite of this boy is a good game of chase with you around the yard.

Vinny loves water and enjoys having a splash about in a lake if out and about.

Vinny

He has been tested with other breeds of dog and after initial introductions had been made could live with any size female dog. Vinny responds very well to correction when around smaller breeds and is becoming more reliable around them.

Here is a short video of Vinny with a smaller dog.

Vinny would be best suited with a family with older teenagers or an adult only home.
