Happy New Year!

Happy New Year everybody!

Christmas has been and gone, 2012 is on it’s way. Where did 2011 go?

Don’t forget that New Year tends to bring a huge number of firework displays. Please make sure you provide a safe haven indoors for your dogs (and other house pets) and check that ID tags are still legible and attached firmly to a close fitting collar. Please also check that your fencing is still secure. Terrified dogs can squeeze through the smallest of gaps!

Latest Greyhound Arrivals:

Holly and Ivy are our latest arrivals, they have been with us since last week, but they are not available for adoption until we get the “all clear” for them from our vet. Information about all our available greyhounds can be found in the Greyhounds Needing Homes Gallery.

Homed Greyhounds:

Daisy, Dodger, Max, Bodger, Duchess and Billie have been adopted.

Reserved Greyhounds:

Cleo and Billy are reserved.

Thank You!

Thank you to everyone who has kindly donated money, dog toys, treats, food, bedding and a whole variety of other goodies. We have been stunned by the generosity of spirit amongst our supporters.

Please may we ask that no more bedding be donated until further notice. Our latest problem is that of storage. A fantastic situation to be in, but we cannot take any more bedding until our stock pile has considerably reduced and we have room enough to move again.

Greyhound Lifeline Newsletter:

We hope to have regular newsletter available electronically in the New Year. If you’d like to receive our newsletter then please join the Greyhound Lifeline Newsletter. Please be assured that your email address will not be passed to any third parties and you can of course opt to un-subscribe at any time.

Festive Season Greyhound Homing

There will be no further homing of greyhounds until January 1st 2012. We may however, at our discretion and with the best interest of the greyhound foremost in our mind allow some adoptions to continue. Only homes without children where a quiet festive season is planned would potentially be able to take a greyhound home before January.

Viewings, homing enquiries and home checks will of course continue as normal and reservation of greyhounds are very welcome.
