Jack and Tara Updates

The last few days have had some sad news. Sky aged just 5yrs and Milo (aged almost 14) have passed on to Rainbow this past week, but there is good news too:

Tara who was very poorly with an upset tummy last week in now recovering well and she has moved into foster care where she is proving to be the perfect pet. Tara has a new and updated description.

Jack, our longest stay greyhound and sponsor dog has moved into a new foster home where he has settled beautifully. The Jack we have now is a very different dog to the Jack we once had in our kennels. Some of you, the ones that know him personally, will be pleasantly amazed at his new and glowing description. Please take a fresh look at our Jack’s description. He’ll make a lucky someone a cracking pet.

Our grateful thanks go to Glenn, Anna and Sarah of Dog House Training for not only turning this boy around, but for giving him the stable home life he needs and that he was overdue.

Homed Greyhounds:

Elsie, Bianca (now Ruby), Parker, Radnor, Rocket (now Bryn), Holly, Pippa and Jeeves (now Badger) have so far gone home in February.

Reserved Greyhounds:

Rose and Ivy are reserved.

Updated Greyhound Descriptions:

Bizzle, Champ and Star have updated descriptions. You can find out more about them or indeed any of our other greyhounds by visiting our Greyhounds Needing Homes Gallery.

New Greyhound Arrivals:

Turbo was an unexpected arrival  who joined us last week at very short notice. He’s a gentle and small lad who we will learn more about over the coming days.

Henry arrived with us last Wednesday, but he has not appeared on site for homing yet since he needs some veterinary attention before he’ll be deemed fit enough. Henry is almost 9 years old and has come from a home environment. He’s now in foster care with Paula and Nick who have already started the veterinary treatment that he was overdue.

Two new boys are expected in on Wednesday 29th February.

Details of all our  available greyhounds can be found in our Greyhound Adoption Gallery.

Greyhound Foster Dog Updates:

Ernest (known as Ollie to his foster carer) is settling in to home life steadily. He is no longer a lad suffering from kennel stress at least and he’s rapidly discovering the pleasure of life outside of kennels. A very social boy, he’s proving a lovely lad to take out on a walk. He’s also passed our cat test!

Abbie continues to thrive in her foster home. She has proved herself to be a very affectionate girl with those she knows. A real lady of a greyhound with no vices, who is very ready for an adoptive home of her own. Another cat test pass greyhound.

Phoebe has settled well into her foster home. She is progressing nicely in all respects including recall with the help our behaviourists who live nearby.

Jack has made exceptional progress. He has a new and now glowing description available.

Tara is new to home life having only just gone into foster care, but she too is doing exceedingly well. You can read Tara’s buy accutane online updated description too.

Annual Kennel Open Day

We have set the date for our 2012 Kennel Open Day. It’s going to be on Sunday May 20th from 11am through to 2pm. We’ll have lots of stalls and fun events, plus a parade of our “stars of the show”, those greyhounds still waiting for adoption.

Entry and parking will be free, although a donation of canned dog food or fish (tuna, sardines, pilchards etc) in oil, spring water or tomato sauce would be most welcome. Absolutely no fish in brine though please as salt is poisonous to dogs!

More information about events and stalls will be published nearer the day.

Sponsored Event

Marie’s son Ed is running in the Fleet half Marathon on Sunday 25th March 2012 to raise funds for Greyhound Lifeline. A sponsor form will be available at the kennels from Tuesday 28th January.
