Our Record Breaking Weekend!

Last weekend was packed with events for us and we had some beautiful sunshine to enjoy them with too.  Lots of hard work went into the weekend to ensure each event went off with a bang!

On the Saturday we held a plant sale to raise funds for the greyhounds in our care.  Our green finger family had worked their magic, planting and caring for a range of plants, ready for us to sell at this event.  We also had some of own greyhounds present including foster dog Hugo to show the public how wonderful greyhounds are.  This event raised an enormous £221.50, well done Debs, Dec and Abbie for all your hard work and commitment to Greyhound Lifeline.

On the Sunday we hosted our own sighthound walk for the ‘Great Global Greyhound Walk’ at a local venue in Fleet.  We had 47 sighthounds in attendance along with 8 non sighthounds plus their human families.  It was so nice to see so many familiar faces and welcome new ones too.  We were very lucky to have a TV presenter come along to share the event with.  Thank you to everyone who came along, shared this special event with us and donated to Greyhound Lifeline, we raised a staggering £373.43. Thank you to Diane, Kathryn and Caroline for organising this event and venue facilitates.

We also would like to say a big thank you to Rob and Tom for completing a sponsor cycle ride of 25 miles around the Liphook area, they too did exceptionally well and raised over £390.

Greyhound Lifeline has many volunteers who all have something different to offer, all the money raised will support the work we do and most importantly goes towards the day to day resources needed for the greyhounds in our care.  A big thank you to everyone who supported us this weekend.
