Amigo Has Been Homed

Amigo has been homed – 8/5/20

Amigo arrived with us on 16th July 2019 and he was born on 25th March 2016.

He is a friendly, inquisitive male who is very alert and loveable!  Amigo is now housetrained, sleeps well overnight and enjoys living with two other greyhounds.  He knows his name and will come to you in the garden when you call him.

Amigo enjoys going for a walk and he is keen to investigate all that he finds.  He walks nicely on the lead but can be strong if his chase instinct is triggered. He has met cows grazing, joggers, cyclists and even a police car with its siren going, he was not phased by it all!

During training sessions he has shown how responsive he is to his handler which is helping him over come his fear of smaller dogs.  Over the last several months Amigo has made fantastic progress, he needs to trust, feel confident with his handler and given the right encouragement, he will continue to move his training forward.  He can now walk past smaller dogs, listening to his handler without worrying too much about them in his training sessions.  Amigo now needs to apply these skills on his walks with his foster family.

Amigo with little Chloe

Amigo is a good eater and is not remotely fussy over food. He loves to play with toys and especially footballs.

Watch out though as this boy is fast and leaves turning to the last second!

He would be suitable to live as an only pet or as a companion to a male or female greyhound or greyhound look-alike. He could live with teenagers or in an adult only home.

Amigo travels well and is keen to get into a car for his outings.

He particularly enjoys laying out in the garden watching his foster parents busy doing the gardening!
