Ash has been homed – 16.5.25.
Ash is in foster care in Southampton, Hampshire, she arrived in our care on the 2nd of April 2025 and she was born on the 5th of June 2021.
This lass has a shiny black coat and is a quiet yet friendly girl who is going to make a perfect addition to her new family.
She can be a little reserved when you first meet her, this is not her true character and with a little time she will show you her cheeky character, sometimes this can take a few days to come out fully. Don’t be put off by this as she really is a sweetie!
Ash can get really excited when she greets familiar people, she will show this with a big waggy tail, comes running at you with a massive grin! She is a funny girl.
This girl loves to play with you and soft toys, she just loves running around and having fun, what more could you ask for!
Ash is housetrained and used to everyday noises in and around the home. She shows no fear of washing machine, TV, dishwasher, hoover but can be a little unsure about car/motor bike engines starting close by. Ash is going on street walks to get used to these sounds and with time this will improve.
Our gorgeous girl lives alongside 7 other greyhounds both girls and boys, she gets on well with them all. Ash has shown us no negative behaviour around other breeds of dog, she is intrigued about what they are – big and small breeds. She will watch them as they go by and will listen to her handler if she is asked to wait on walks. Ash needs to continue her training around other breeds of dog, seeing them from afar and up close.
This girl does LOVE her food and is also learning all about treats. Ash is certainly enjoying all these new tastes!
She enjoys her car rides, knowing she is going to have a nice walk somewhere. Ash can need a little persuasion to get into the car for her outing but once she knows she is going somewhere nice she is very keen to jump in!
Ash enjoys going out for her walks, she walks nicely on a lead and will trot along beside you. She will prick her ears up when watching other dogs play, she can get excited if they are running around but only because she wants to join in!
This gorgeous girl is a water baby, she loves going in streams and pools. Ash will entertain you with her sweet character. She loves collecting toys from a pool and bringing them back out again, perfect for those hot sunny days!
After all the excitement of being out and about, she will settle down next to you for some quiet time and a stroke from her favourite people, she may even give you a roach!
Ash could be left for a few hours at a time but we would prefer this to be kept to no more than 4 hours due to her age and character. She could live with another greyhound or other breed if proper introductions have taken place or she could be an only dog.
Our sweet girl could live with a family who have teenagers, Ash may find younger children a little noisy especially while she continues to learn about home life and the outside world.
This little lass won’t be with us long so contact us to arrange a viewing, you will not be disappointed with our beautiful Ash!
