Bert has been homed – 14.3.25.

Bert is in foster care in Southampton, Hampshire, he arrived in our care on the 7th February 2025 and he was born on the 21st of November 2021.

This lad is a friendly boy who is going to make a perfect addition to his new family.

He enjoys going out for his walks and will trot along beside you. He enjoys visiting new places and takes everything in his stride.  Bert can be a little strong on the lead but walks very nicely on a Canny Collar which allows you to enjoy your walk with Bert too.

This lad can jump into his car with ease and settles down very nicely once the vehicle starts.  Bert just loves to be out and about and is a very happy boy indeed!

Fancy going out for a coffee with friends?  Bert will be your best friend too and just love to accompany you.  He will happily lay down whilst you have a break and enjoy your drink before it is time to start again.  You could say that Bert is a lazy 3 year old but we think he is just a very chilled out boy!

After a nice outing, what more does the boy need then a nice, soft bed and pillow to rest his head on!  Bert loves to be cozy and can quite often be found, on a dog bed with his PJ’s on!  He loves a good head scratch and a tummy rub before drifting off to sleep.

Bert loves to be around people, having a lot of fuss and cuddles, he is a very calm boy and enjoys all the attention.  He loves his food and will eat his meals very nicely for you.  He knows his name and will come to you when called.  Bert just loves to have his teeth brushed, he will show you his smile so you can reach all of his teeth, a clever boy he is!

He could be homed with another greyhound and with careful introductions could be homed with a dog of any size.  Bert just LOVES saying ‘hello’ to all dogs whilst he is out on his walks, he does this very politely and calmly, what a clever lad!

Bert would be fine to be left for a few hours whilst someone worked. He could be homed to a family with children over the age of 8 years.

He loves to play and will quite happily amuse himself with toys.
