Blossom Has Been Homed

Blossom has been homed – 29.10.23.

Blossom is in foster care in Southampton, Hampshire, she arrived in our care on the 5th March 2023 and she was born on the 14th February 2019.

This little lady is a friendly soul who is full of life, she is a busy little bee but does like a chilled out rest too!

She is a confident, very friendly, inquisitive girl who likes to be on the go!  This little ‘Miss’ has a sorry tale to tell and you may notice in the photos that her ears are a little shorter than others.  Poor Blossom was stolen as a pup and her ear tattoos were removed, this was achieved by cutting that part of her ears off.  She is a remarkable girl who has come through this ordeal and still has a smile on her face.  Blossom went on to complete her racing career and is now looking for that family who can treat her as a princess that she so deserves!

Blossom loves to be outdoors, she enjoys a good run so she can play with her favourite humans, greyhound friends and her toys!  If you like to walk and see different places than this lass is for you!  She loves walking next to you, enjoying what she sees and looking up to you with a huge smile, to show how much she is enjoying being out and the love she has for you too!  What a lovely girl she is!

What more does a girl need after a good walk….. nice food, special cuddles from her human friends and even some treats for being a good girl!

Blossom with her little friend.

This girl loves her food so watch out in your kitchen, if Blossom has gone quiet then she is probably in there looking for some quick and easy food!  She can be a counter surfer at times, although this is improving as she recognises that this behaviour is not acceptable, so you may need to put away all food into cupboards especially if you don’t want her to eat your lunch or dinner!

She enjoys having cuddles with her human friends and will lean right into you.  Blossom loves to relax next to you and will cuddle in, normally ending up on your lap, if you want a ‘real’ cuddle with her.  She has a dear little soul, she may not look like this at first glance but as you get to know her you will see this loveable side that she has.

Blossom is fully housetrained, understands the rules of the house, she enjoys being around other greyhounds and plays nicely with them.

Blossom enjoying some chill out time, after having some ‘off lead’ time.

In the short time we have had this girl, she has come a long way in her training around other breeds.  Blossom can be strong on the lead so we would recommend walking her on a Canny; this will take away her strength on the lead which will ensure you can enjoy your walks together.  She is hugely better on the lead now and is usually walking on a slack lead.

We are looking for an owner who enjoys training/socialising their doggie friends around other breeds of dog.  Blossom responds very well on a 1:1 basis. We have already seen the huge progress that she has made in our dog training sessions and out on walks.

No cats/small fluffies please.

Blossom would be quite happy to be left a few hours while someone works.  She would prefer a nice walk, some good food too and then she probably wouldn’t notice you pop out/go to work while she snores on her own warm, comfy bed.

This beautiful girl would fit into any family households from keen walkers/enjoy outside sports or just love having a stroll around new places.  Blossom would just like her own family to call her own, she is a real sweetie and everyone who meets her, falls in love with this gorgeous girl.

Blossom loves to cool her feet down.

Go on give the adoption line a call and find out more about this lovely lass.
