Duke Has Been Homed

Duke has been homed – 27.8.24

Duke is in foster care in Southampton, Hampshire, he arrived in our care on the 15th of June 2024 and he was born on the 1st of April 2021.

He is a very friendly, fun, loving boy.  This lad enjoys going out for his walks and being with his canine friends.

Duke loves to be around people, having a lot of fuss and cuddles. He is a very affectionate boy and will snuggle into you gently for an ever lasting hug and give you lots of hand kisses!

After all that fun and exercise, Duke will quite happily enjoy a long nap.

Duke understands the rules of the car and will listen when told to jump in.  Once he is in, he will settle down quickly and will start to think about what the next adventure will entail.

This gorgeous lad could live with children over the age of 8 years.  He loves his toys and will quite happily throw his toys high up in the sky but will also snuggle up to a cuddly toy and fall asleep on it!

Duke is learning the rules of the house and so far, learnt that the kitchen is the best place to be!  He takes in everyday noises as they are something he has always heard – T.V, dishwasher, radio, builders drilling – none phase him at all.

He is becoming house trained and is learning fast, Duke is dry overnight and is learning to inform his foster mummy when he needs the toilet during the day.  What a quick learner he is!

Are you looking for an active greyhound or do you enjoy walking in the countryside?  Duke could be the chap for you.  How can you not resist that puppy face and those gorgeous eyes!  He is a cuddly teddy bear who just wants to have fun!

After all the dashing around, Duke most of all enjoys a cuddle time with his human friends, he just loves to lean right into you.  This special time with his human friends are a must for every day and in return he will show how compassionate he is for you and your family.

Duke has a good appetite and will always show you a shiny, clean bowl when finished.  He is a typical lad, after he has finished his food, he will need a quick trip outside so he can go to the toilet!   This lad has a sweet tooth and enjoys a few treats during the day, all doggie ones of course, he will gentle take them from your hand and waits patiently for his turn.

This playful lad enjoys ‘bedtime’ or ‘quiet time’ where he can snooze whilst surrounded by his big, warm bed.  Duke can feel the cold and likes to be covered by a blanket or his fleece to keep him nice and cosy and toasty!

The boy will need his own wardrobe of coats to ensure he doesn’t get cold when out on his walks or on those colder days in the home.  I wonder how many different coats he will end up with!

Duke could be an only dog in the house or he could live with a female greyhound or other breed, once proper introductions are carried out first.  He has been tested with other breeds of dog and after working out what they are, he just wants to be friends.  He particularly gets excited when seeing other dogs running freely in the park, at these times he really would just love to play but is easily controllable.

He would love to find his new family, could it be yours?  Make his day, ask for a viewing, fall in love with him, just like we have.

No cats please.
