Yang Has Been Homed

Yang has been homed – 26.2.23.

Yang is in kennels in Southampton, Hampshire, he arrived in our care on 30th December 2022 and he was born on the 25th August 2018.

This lad is a friendly, loveable lad.

Yang enjoys his walks and a nice snooze afterwards!  He walks nicely on a slack lead, this boy will walk next to you, wagging his tail and a big smile on his face.  Yang is a boy that likes to please.  He is still learning how to get into a vehicle but is learning fast and we are sure he will soon be able to do it himself.

He is a gentle boy, enjoys his time with his human friends, a real cuddle bunny and a leaner too!  Yang loves his toys which he will take gentle from you, tennis balls are his favourite but he also likes cuddly ones too.

This food driven boy goes crazy for food or treats, he takes treats gentle from your hand, he’s not fussy, will eat anything you give him.  Yang’s dinner is 1 minute in the bowl and next it will be empty, we are working with him to slow him down so it lasts a bit longer!  The bowl is licked so clean it doesn’t even need washing and you can see your reflection in it!

Yang enjoys food puzzles and will spend time trying to work out how to get the treats out after which he is so tired that he needs a nap.

Yang and his treat ball.

After a day of action Yang is so tired, he enjoys a good sleep in his kennel.  Yang is quiet when on his own but will always have a waggy tail and a smily face waiting in the morning to greet you with, he really is a special boy.

Yang has met a range of non greyhounds up close and also running around in the park, he has taken it all in his stride and just watches them.  He is still trying to work out if they are dogs like him as they look different but he acts very positive around them.  Yang now needs to continue seeing other dogs in a variety of situation so he becomes more familiar with them.  He has had a variety of walks since arriving with us and each walk he is very polite when meeting other dogs and people.

A good run around with other greyhounds is something that Yang enjoys, he is fine to live with other greyhounds and gets on well with the ones he is living with currently.

This chap could be homed as an only dog or live with other sighthounds, with time and carefully introductions he could live with other breeds that are medium size and above.  Yang could be homed to a family with children over the age of 10 years.  He can get excited at times and can jump up, this is becoming less frequent and understands that he’s feet need to stay on the floor.

Yang is starting to become familiar with home living, noises from a TV, washing machine and radio do not faze this boy, he takes it all in his stride.  He already knows where the treats and food is kept, he will even find it for you, if you have the cupboard door open!  We are working with him on house training and mostly he will not go inside.

He is an adorable boy who certainly is one you would like to see.  Call us now and arrange a viewing.
