Tabor is in foster care in Southampton, Hampshire, he arrived in our care on the 7th of July 2026 and he was born on the 16th of October 2020.
This lad is super cute and friendly, who loves to have cuddles.
He is a larger lad and a bit of a ‘goof’ but we all LOVE him and his sweet character!
Tabor enjoys going out for walks, he can walk nicely on a lead but may be a little strong at the beginning of the walk. Tabor is a fast learner and his pulling is becoming less and less. Most of the time he will trot alongside you and enjoys all that he sees.
He will greet new people with a waggy tail, a lovely smile and is polite with his manners! Tabor LOVES his food, sometimes a little too much but will take treats gently from your hand, what a lovely boy he is! This lad never thinks of his waist line and doesn’t have an off switch when it comes to food, he may need a little help from his new owner on this one!
Tabor especially enjoys going out for car journeys, he will jump in with ease and settles down quickly once the journey has started. Tabor is very eager the other end to get out and start his new adventure!
He has met many other medium size and bigger breeds of dog, he shows them his politeness with his manners and would quite like to play with them, if correct introductions were carried out. Tabor has met some smaller breeds and is working out what they are but is always very polite with his manners. He now needs to carry on meeting lots of other dogs and showing them all how lovely he really is. His gorgeous smile never ends and he will greet his doggie friends exactly the same as his human ones – waggy tail, huge smile and polite manners! Tabor can get excited if he sees other dogs playing and having fun, he really just wants to go and play but forgets that he is on the lead!
This lad LOVES to play! He will play with toys, his friends (human), Tabor just likes to live life to the full and is always a happy boy! He would love a huge toy box just for himself, full of lots of different toys that he can play with, including plenty of different balls.
Throw a ball for our large boy and he will continue playing with it, making his own games up, normally resulting in all his toys scattered around and under his beds, it can be quite funny to watch.
Tabor would quite happily share a home with another dog once proper introductions had taken place. He is quite often found cuddling up to another greyhound!
This lad could live with children over the age of 10 years, who know how to treat and respect a pet. Tabor could be left for a few hours whilst somebody worked, he would be found still on his bed asleep!

All our volunteers just love our gorgeous Tabor, he is really soppy and just wants to be with his human friends enjoying life to the full!
At the end of the day you will find Tabor spread out on his bed, snoozing the night away, dreaming of all his adventures and getting ready for the next day. He is such a sweetie, could he be the dog for you?
