Rain, Rain Go Away!

Our latest arrivals are: Karma, Spartan, Bann, Kiki and Elmo.

Sweet Karma who is now reserved.

It has been another busy week with viewings, homings and homed dogs coming back for nail cuttings and corn treatment.

We have even had a few recently homed greyhounds come back to say hello, all of which have had a waggy tail, glossy coats and look really happy!

In the kennels we only have a few greyhounds, we are waiting for new arrivals to join us and begin their search in finding their own homes.

Happy boy Spartan.

Before COVID we always had a waiting list for greyhounds coming into our centre, after racing and normally a long list of famiiles waiting to home a dog too.  This is now not the case, we still have a small list of families waiting but we are also the ones waiting for the greyhounds to finish racing, to fill our empty kennels, rather than the trainers waiting for spaces!  Who knows how long this will continue for but it is also very good news for the greyhounds too!

Car-boot Donations – WE NEED YOUR HELP!

Our car boot duo are still working hard to bring those pennies in, for the greyhounds in our care.

Their stock is now very low with items, to sell at those car-boot sales.  We are asking you to please ask friends and family for suitable items that we could take of you.

The last couple of years has been hard, we, like most other charities have been limited in the fundrasing events that we can do to create those much needed funds.  Vet bills have been higher than usual and we are still continuing to take in and home those greyhounds ready to find their own homes.  We would be very grateful if you could donate your no longer wanted items to us!

Welly was very grateful with the money raised, as he got his special walking boots that he needed, whilst he was in our care.  He now has been homed and is loving home life!

The duo inform us that they only have enough stock for a couple more car boot sales.

Please keep your donations coming in folks, but please refer to our list of items that we can accept and also who to contact to pass on your donations.   See bottom of page for sale items.

Please do NOT drop items at our kennel premises, please contact us to find out our collection/drop off points.

Homings and Home Visits

During COVID, we have ensured extra checks on prospected new homes have been carried out by the team, to ensure our greyhounds will stay with their new family’s and not return to us after lockdown has eased.  This is and always has been a cruitial part of rehoming our greyhounds.

Fully Opening of our Centre:

At the start of COVID 2020, we closed our centre to keep our precious kennel hands and greyhounds safe, as well as the public but also inline with government guidance.

Many shops and other venues are beginning to open up again.  Due to the number of dogs we have at the kennels and the way we are working now, we will continue to stay closed but pre-arranged appointments will continue.  To arrange an appointment please email or call us on 07769348310.  If you are looking to purchase things at our shop, view or home a greyhound, cutting nails/corn treatment then these will all continue to take place but ONLY if they have been booked in and you have been given an appointment by one of our managers.

We will update you when our situation has changed, with details on and how we will proceed forward, ensuring we keep everyone safe and allowing out centre to re-open.

COVID Update:

If you would like to purchase items at our on-site shop, please make contact so we can arrange an appointment, upon arrival, at your allocated time, you will be able to choose your items yourself.

We are now allowing limited numbers of visitors to come into our centre, at any one time, providing they are wearing a mask and use our hand sanitzer before entering.  We have lots of new items in our shop so make an appointment and come along to see us.  You will be very welcome!
