Bren has been homed – 4.10.24.

Bren is in foster care near Southampton, Hampshire, she arrived with us on the 10th of July 2024 and she was born on the 1st of January 2020.

This lovely, stocky, girl enjoys being around humans, she can at times be your shadow so watch where you are standing, with this girl around!

She is housetrained but as with all new dogs, she needs to learn how to tell you if she needs to go the toilet!  Bren is a very quick learner!  She is crate trained and you will often find her in one having a snooze or just enjoying some quiet time away from the action.

Bren is sharing her foster home with other greyhounds, she gets on well with them all and is not dominant towards any of them.

This lass is learning what toys are and how to play with them.  Bren is quite happy snuggling up to her human friend for more cuddles and ‘me’ time.    She is a happy little girl that always has a waggy tail.

Bren enjoys going for a walk, she is keen to investigate all that she finds with a big waggy tail and those sticky up ears!  She can walk nicely on a lead but it is all still new for her and very exciting still.  Once her initial excitement is over Bren can walk nicely on the lead and just enjoys being out with her human friends.  A Canny collar can help control that initial excitement and give you a better grip of this little lady!  We will be moving her back to a fishtail collar, once she settles in more.

On her daily adventures she is getting familiar with a variety of sounds – cars, trucks, people, children and nothing seems to faze her. Bren has seen many dogs from a far and quite close, most she would love to have a run around with.

She listens well to her handler whilst out and about.  Bren has met a range of dogs, she is currently still trying to work out what they are, we are confident with time that she will learn that they can all be friends too.  This girl now needs to meet other breeds of dog, in a calm, controlled way to carry on this training/socialisation.

She is a good eater, enjoys her treats and bones too!  Bren is very good at mealtimes and will wait for her turn and for you to place her bowl down before she tucks in.  She really is a wonderful girl.

Bren could live very happily with children over the age of 8 years who are used to being around larger dogs.  She loves cuddles and would expect any little friends to give them to her too! 

She would be suitable to live as an only pet or as a companion to another greyhound at this stage, in time and training she could live with other breeds too.

What better thing to enjoy on a walk than to find those little squirrels! Bren enjoys watching them in the trees and may try to chase them if they are running around the trees!  Hold on tight!

This girl travels well and gets in the vehicle with ease.  Bren will lay down in the vehicle and waits patiently for the end destination before enjoying the new walk with her human friends.

Bren is a loving girl, who just wants to find her own sofa, she just loves people.  This sweet four year old, has a distinguished grey muzzle which just gives her beautiful face more charm and beauty!
