Ted Has Been Homed

Ted has been homed – 30.7.24.

Ted is in foster care in Southampton, Hampshire, he arrived in our care on the 4th of July 2024 and he was born on the 1st of December 2021.

He is a friendly, affectionate, black and white lad who is looking for his own family.

Ted enjoys being outside, on the go and being around people, no sad day with this boy around!  If you are a sporty person, or someone who enjoys the outside then this chap is your man!  After all that fun and exercise, Ted will quite happily enjoy a long nap, in his bed, surrounded by his toys!

He understands the rules of the car and will listen when told to jump in, which he does with ease!  Once he is in, he will settle down quickly and will start to think about what the next adventure will entail, sometimes you have to wake him up when you are home again!

We are looking for a home with older children or ones that are used to being around a boisterous, fun, loving greyhound!  He loves his toys and can dash around collecting them all up so watch out whilst he is about!  He’s a tall, chunky lad and you definitely know that when he dashes around, most of the time missing your legs but only just!

This boy just LOVES WATER!  You will need a paddling pool for this lad, he dips in and out of it most of the day, he really enjoys splashing about in it, pretending to dig and then coming out completely soaked and wondering why he is the only one that is!  You just have to love our beautiful Ted!

Ted enjoys a good game of football, catch the flying teddy and finding that squeaky toy to destroy it!  His favourite game is playing with his human friends, especially if you sit on the floor with him for a cuddle.  Ted will play bow infront of you, nearly jumping on you with excitement, he really is a funny boy.  This lad is easily calmed down with a nice belly rub and you will soon find him asleep!

This chap is learning the rules of the house and so far, learnt that the kitchen is the best place to be, he know that he must be good when he’s human friends are eating but he won’t take his eyes of you just in case you do drop a crumb or two!  Ted takes in all everyday noises as they are something he has always heard – T.V, dishwasher, radio – none phase him at all.  He has had very few accidents in the house, since arriving and is clean overnight.  Ted is learning he must bark to alert his owner that he needs to go into the garden.  What a clever boy he is!

Are you looking for an active greyhound or do you enjoy walking in the countryside?  Ted could be the chap for you.  How can you not resist that puppy face and those gorgeous eyes!  He is a huge, cuddly teddy bear who just wants to have fun!

After all the dashing around, Ted doesn’t enjoy more than a cuddle time with his human friends, he just loves to lean right into you.  This special time with his human friends are a must for every day and in return he will show how compassionate he is for you and your family.

Ted has a good appetite and will always show you a shiny, clean bowl when finished.  He is a typical lad, after he has finished his food, he will need a quick trip outside so he can go to the toilet!  He is very polite at feeding time and will wait his turn and accept that other dogs may be fed first.  Ted enjoys his treats and is learning that there are lots of different ones to enjoy, he will take treats gentle from your hand.

This boy is good within the house and understands that sometimes his human friends have to go out, Ted will spend this time catching up on sleep, he is quiet when left alone and saves his energy for the biggest welcome back when you return!

Ted could be an only dog in the house or he could live with another dog, once he has been introduced to another dog appropriately.  He has been tested with other breeds of dog and he just wants to be friends with everyone!

This lad, despite his size, energy levels, has a gentle nature however he can be over looked due to his size.  He can curl up really small when he wants to!  Ted just wants to live life to the full and share adventures with a family that he can call his own.

Ted would love to find his new family, could it be yours?  Make his day, ask for a viewing, fall in love with him, just like we have.

No cats please.
