Davey Has Been Homed

Davey

Davey has been homed.

He is a tall, affectionate, male who was born on the 2nd May 2012.  He knows his name and will trot to you when called.

Davey walks nicely on a lead but can be strong if his chase instinct is triggered.

He is happy to jump into the car for his outings and settles down quickly ready for the off.

Davey loves his toys, he likes you to throw a toy for him to chase.  The sound of a whistle or a squeak triggers Davey’s chase instinct, he will need some training on taking and leaving toys during these playtimes.

He is house trained, can manage stairs, laminate, tiled and carpeted floors.  Davey is ready for his forever home.

It would be beneficial for him if his adoptive family would continue with his canine socialisation and training. We do NOT feel that Davey would be a good candidate to go off the lead. Therefore a family happy to exercise him on the lead would be essential.

Davey

This lad is a “work in progress” on the all breeds socialisation front. He needs further experience of meeting unfamiliar breeds along with some corrective training before he’ll be able to accept smaller dogs as friends.  Davey does respond well to correction and we hope in the coming weeks he starts to improve his behaviour.

Davey would be best suited to a family with older teenagers or an adult only home due to his love of toys.  He would be fine to be left for a few hours whilst someone worked.  Davey could be an only dog or a companion to a large female dog.

No cats please.
