Harbour Has Been Homed

Harbour has been homed – 10.8.23.

Harbour is in foster care in Southampton, Hampshire, he arrived in our care on the 3rd May 2023 and he was born on the 10th of October 2019.

This quiet boy, is a really friendly boy but only once he has got to know you.  He has a very sweet face, a very happy tail which he will use to welcome you home!

Harbour LOVES his food and will always tell you that he is hungry, even when he has just been fed!

This adorable hulk is now fully housetrained, enjoys the company of his other greyhound friends, he is quiet in the house whilst you are out and has just fallen into home living beautifully.  Harbour has not put a foot wrong since being in the home environment, a dream boy!

He is a young lad who has a lot to learn about the ‘outside world’, Harbour’s confidence is growing each day, he is taking everything in and is learning fast.  This lad is so adorable, he can be quite quiet until he gets to know you and then his true character comes alive!  Harbour can be very nervous of new people, it may take several meetings for him to learn to trust you but with patience, quietly spoken and coming down to his level will really help fight away those fears.

Harbour loves his treats but will only take them from you when he fully trusts you, to start with, you will need to lay them on the floor in front of him so he can quietly eat them at his own pace.  This is becoming less and less and he will take some treats from humans he knows well.

Harbour has shown some interest in toys especially soft cuddly ones but is still learning about toys so may prefer watching others speed around with them rather than him picking them up himself.  We feel over time this will definitely change.

This lad enjoys a lovely run with his canine friends, he can run very fast indeed!  After all the excitement he will seek out his trusted, human companion for some cuddle time.

He enjoys his walks and can walk very nicely on the lead, Harbour can also easily jump into a car for his outings and settles down nicely for the car ride.

Harbour has met a range of other breeds of dog, he looks to his handler for what is expected of him.  He has said ‘hello’ to a range of dogs of various sizes and will greet each one correctly.  This lad now needs to go out and meet all the other breeds that he still needs to meet and greet.

He could quite happily live in a home with a quieter family, who have time to help him settle in and carry on with his confidence building.  This chap needs to be homed with another dog so they can help bring out his confidence and show that true Harbour that is hiding below.
