Kolby Has Been Homed

Kolby has been homed – 10.6.23.

Kolby is in foster care in Southampton, Hampshire, she arrived in our care on the 3rd May 2023 and she was born on the 16th of July 2019.

This lass has a shiny brindle coat and is a friendly girl who is going to make a perfect addition to her new family.

She can be a little reserved when you first meet her, this is not her true character and with a little time she will show you her cheeky character, sometimes this can take a few days to come out fully.  Don’t be put off by this as she really is a sweetie!

Kolby can get really excited when she greets familiar people, she will show this with a big waggy tail, comes running at you with a massive grin and if you are lucky with give you a little ‘roo’ too!  She is a funny girl.

This girl loves to play with you and soft toys, she just loves running around and having fun, what more could you ask for!  Kolby has a favourite teddy that she will walk around with, whilst carrying it she shows some lovely facial expressions.

Kolby is housetrained and used to everyday noises in and around the home.  She shows no fear of washing machine, dishwasher, hoover, car/motor bike engines starting and other familiar sounds.

Our gorgeous girl lives alongside 7 other greyhounds both girls and boys, she gets on well with them all.  Kolby isn’t a big fan of thunder and fireworks but she will just curl up alongside one of her friends.  She doesn’t show a huge amount of stress as long as she has the comfort of her friends or you to sit near.

Somebody is happy as it’s feeding time!

This girl does LOVE her food!  She finds waiting her turn to be fed quite tricky and if possible she will try to shorten this time by helping herself!

Kolby will need an owner that doesn’t leave any food out otherwise this girl will have her own indoor picnic every day!  Although she has a love for food, she has shown no food aggression and is very gentle taking food from your hands.

She enjoys her car rides, knowing she is going to have a nice walk somewhere.  Kolby can need a little help getting into your car but happily jumps out the other end.  She can jump in too but sometimes needs a little persuasion, or gives you that look as ‘I’m too tired’!

Kolby enjoys going out for her walks, she walks nicely on a lead and will trot along beside you.  She will prick her ears up when watching other dogs play but knows how to correctly say ‘hello’ with other breeds, she meets, on her walks.

After all the excitement of being out and about, she will settle down next to you for some quiet time and a stroke from her favourite people, she may even give you a roach!

Kolby has been tested with other breeds and has shown us no cause for concern.  She would be able to be homed with another dog of any size, after careful introductions have been carried out.  Being a young dog, she could be left for a few hours at a time but we would prefer this to be kept to no more than 4 hours due to her age and character.

This little lass won’t be with us long so contact us to arrange a viewing, you will not be disappointed with our beautiful Kolby!
