Highlights From March

News from March:

Yet again, we have been busy at the kennels with new dogs arriving and also saying farewell to dogs who have found their new families.

Update: Thumper has been reserved – 1.4.21!

Our bouncy boy Thumper is still here another month on, waiting for his chance of a family.  He has seen all his friends move in and then out again, he has made friends with all the new arrivals and then watched them leave too.

To prepare him for the outside world, he has been going out for outtings, to different places which he has thoroughly enjoyed and behaved so well at each one.  He has been a real star and has loved his outtings with his cannine and human friends.  Whilst he has been out and about, he has met a range of dogs, which he was able to use his social skills, to greet the new dogs, in a very positive way. This lad is a very special loving lad and would love to explore lots of new places with you.

Thumper has made his own special video, with of course some help from his human friends, that he would like to share with you!

You will have no dull moment with this boy.   He will enjoy all aspects of family life with you and although he is five, he really is a young dog inside, he has been waiting for nearly three months now for his own home, all his friends have got homes but still Thumper waits on, with a smile still on his face!

Check out his page now, he is desperate to find his own home.  Could you adopt him and give him that home that he so deserves?

Make the lads day, call the adoption line to make a viewing, you will not be disappointed.  Make all his wishes come true, Thumper needs his own family.

COVID News:

With lockdown in sight now, Greyhound Lifeline will continue working by appointment only until the trustees feel it is safe to reopen fully.  Viewings, homings and sale of food and goods will continue but by appointment only.  Please continue to use the same method as we are currently, which will keep us ALL safe and ensure our kennel hands are as safe as possible – of minimal risk of infection, in order to carry on caring for the dogs in our care.

We would like to thank you all for your support during the pandemic, we have very much appreciated help with washing of coats, donated dog food, bedding, monatery donations – inluding gift aid, letters of support, toys for the dogs to enjoy, continuing to adopt and buying goods from our shop.  All of these things have ensured the dogs in our care have been able to be cared for and it has lifted the spirits of all our kennel hands who are working with us during this difficult time.

Keep safe and we will continue to update you on news from the kennels.

For all our dogs during this pandemic we are carrying out a significant amount of checks on any potential adopter, just like we always do, however we need you to play your part and actually seriously THINK before you adopt.
