Lifeline News Update

What a busy start to the week it has been and it’s only Tuesday!

Monday saw two greyhounds head off to homes of their own and today saw our new girl Rose get reserved and Radnor formalise his adoption as well.

Zulu had a day out today to gain a little experience with unfamiliar breeds and new people as well. Sky too went off for a socialisation walk on unfamiliar territory.

All our kennel residents had their regular socialisation  and play session with other breeds of dog this morning and Jake, Rosie and Ben particularly made wonderful progress. Revised descriptions for them and of course details of all our greyhounds can be found in our Greyhounds Needing Homes Gallery.

Homed Greyhounds:

Radnor, Rocket (now Bryn), Holly, Pippa and Jeeves (now Badger) have so far gone home in February.

Reserved Greyhounds:

Rose, Holly, Parker and Ivy are reserved.

Updated Greyhound Descriptions:

Ben, Jake, Zulu, Rosie, Rose and Phoebe have updated details on site. We hope to have photographs of Phoebe and Rose shortly.

New Greyhound Arrivals:

We are expecting 3 new arrivals imminently, more details about the new boys will follow once they are with us.

Greyhound Foster Dog Updates:

Jack, our long stay kennel resident (of 3 years and 7 months) has settled into his long term foster home very well. He’s still looking for that elusive adoption though, so please consider him.

Ernest will be off soon to his new foster home. We hope that he’ll find home living far less stressful than kennel life which has not suited him at all.

Abbie continues to thrive in her foster home. She has proved herself to be a very affectionate girl with those she knows. A real lady of a greyhound with no vices, who is very ready for an adoptive home of her own.

Tara Greyhound

Picture of tara Greyhound

This lovely lady, our Tara has been with us far too long. For no particular reason Tara has been overlooked time and time again. Please consider Tara for adoption. She’d particularly like a nice active home with lots going on. She likes to play, run around and she loves a cuddle too. Nine months waiting for her family and still they have not found her. Will you choose Tara as your pet? For more information about Tara please see her full description in our Greyhound Adoption Gallery.

New site content is needed in the form of our Greyhound Blogs. Lady’s blog is active and Sue’s has a new entry. Our archive blogs are still able to be seen, but some new content from existing authors or some new authors altogether would be very welcome.

Annual Kennel Open Day

We have set the date for our 2012 Kennel Open Day. It’s going to be on Sunday May 20th from 11am through to 2pm. We’ll have lots of stalls and fun events, plus a parade of our “stars of the show”, those greyhounds still waiting for adoption.

Entry and parking will be free, although a donation of canned dog food or fish (tuna, sardines, pilchards etc) in oil, spring water or tomato sauce would be most welcome. Absolutely no fish in brine though please as salt is poisonous to dogs!

More information about events and stalls will be published nearer the day.
