Success at September's Events

The team have been busy over the last couple of weeks.

Saturday 31st August the Fleet team were at Morrisons, raising awareness of our charity and greyhounds in general.

Hammy and Arty at Morrisons.

During the day £333.30 was collecting for Greyhound Lifeline. A big thank you to Elvetham Heath Morrisons Store for allowing us to have this collection.

Saturday 7th September we attended three events:

Blue Cross Charity Day:

The day was a huge success, lots of interest raised and of course the profile of our charity!

The team had fun throughout the day selling merchandise, Aqua Jewellery were in attendance too and the tombola kept everyone busy! They raised £123.59 for the greyhounds in our care.

Thank you to Amy, Debs, Dec and Abi for their hard work throughout the day and of course little Tilly for being so well behaved around so many other breeds of dog.

The Maltings Craft Fair:

Thank you to the team at The Maltings in Farnham. Diane with Hammy, Sarah with Izzy and Kathryn with Ferret and Arty. All dogs welcomed the fuss and cuddles made of them all.

Sarah with Hammy and Izzy.

The team raised another £176.50, well done!

Alresford Show:

Ricardo has had a very busy day doing his P.R. work for Greyhound Lifeline at the Alresford Show.

He did really well and created homing interest not only for himself, but for greyhounds generally.

Ricardo was joined by a previously homed hound named Billy for the show ground exploration.

Ricardo saw so many new sights he’s utterly exhausted now, but he’s had a fabulous time.

He saw chickens, geese, goats, cattle, horses, ferrets and many other creatures too.

Well done Ricardo, you proved that you’ll make a cracking pet for some lucky family.

Saturday 14th September – Fleet Street Collection:

A big thank you to Fleet town, all of our volunteers who gave up their time to collect for us and all the lovely people who came to say hello, give our gorgeous greyhounds a cuddle and the donations that we received.

Our Fleet Collectors for the event.

We raised a massive £638.77 and lots of interest too!

It was such a lovely day meeting new people and I know we are all very proud of the greyhounds who attended, especially Ricardo and Marshall two of our kennel dogs who took it all in their stride!
