Mufasa has been homed – 5.4.24.

Mufasa is in foster care in Southampton, Hampshire, he arrived in our care on 21st February 2024 and he was born on the 15th of April 2021.

He is a very friendly, fun, loving boy.  This lad enjoys going out for his walks and being with his canine friends.

This lad loves to be around people, having a lot of fuss and cuddles. He is a very affectionate boy and will snuggle into you gently for an ever lasting hug!

After all that fun and exercise, Mufasa will quite happily enjoy a long nap.

He can easily get into a car for his outings but can be quite lazy, at times, especially after a walk so a no-nonsense owner is needed, for those times!  Mufasa understands the rules and will listen when told to jump in.  Once he is in, he will settle down quickly and will start to think about what the next adventure will entail.

This boy is a little unsure of what roads are, the noise that comes from them and will need a confident owner who can show him no fear walking on the pavements.  Mufasa does lack confidence whilst having a street walk and will need plenty of time and experience walking around the local neighbourhood before he is going to feel more relaxed.  On other walks – on the New Forest, parks and Common this lack of confidence isn’t shown and he really loves going out and about.

Mufasa could be homed with children or an adult only home.  He is starting to play with toys but is a little confused at present as to what they are!  I’m sure this will develop and he will learn to play with the toys and you together!

He is learning the rules of the house and so far, learnt that the kitchen is the best place to be if you are after food, although he hasn’t shown any interest at jumping up at the cabinets.  He takes in everyday noises as they are something he has always heard – T.V, dishwasher, radio, builders drilling – none phase him at all.

He is house trained and learnt where he should go to the toilet pretty fast,  Mufasa will need to learn how to tell his new owner when he needs the toilet like he has in his foster home.  How can you not resist that puppy face and those gorgeous eyes!  He is an adorable boy who just wants to have fun!

After all the dashing around, Mufasa most of all enjoys a cuddle time with his human friends, he just loves to lean right into you.  This special time with his human friends are a must for every day and in return he will show how compassionate he is for you and your family.

Mufasa enjoys his food and will eat and eat if he can, he doesn’t seem to have an off button!  He will gentle take food from your hands and waits patiently for his turn when feeding.  This lad is still learning about treats and at present likes them to be cut up but with time he will learn to accept them without the extra help!

He has a good appetite and will always show you a shiny, clean bowl when finished.  He is a typical lad, after he has finished his food, he will need a quick trip outside so he can go to the toilet!

This playful lad enjoys ‘bedtime’ or ‘quiet time’ where he can snooze whilst surrounded by his big, warm bed.

Mufasa could be an only dog in the house or he could live with a female greyhound.  He has been tested with other breeds of dog and after working out what they are, he just wants to be friends.  He particularly gets excited when seeing other dogs running freely in the park, at these times he really would just love to play but is easily controllable.

He would love to find his new family, could it be yours?  Make his day, ask for a viewing, fall in love with him, just like we have.
