Happy New Year Everyone!

We wish everybody a Happy New Year.

We have had another very successful year and we thank everybody who has supported us.

Without your help with kennel cleanouts, feeds, dog walking, fostering, vet trips, fundraising, coat making, washing, mending, kennel maintenance, home checking, dog training, donations, purchases of food/merchandise etc we wouldn’t have been able to do our job of homing greyhounds as well as we do.

Highlights for 2019!

We have 309 volunteers!

32 greyhounds have come in for homing

31 greyhounds have been homed

Long stayers Yoda and Annie both found their new families

Yoda says thank you for my toy & my new home!

Jordy, Ranger and Gadget all went to live with families that have cats

Stella the Chiropractor started working with us and our greyhounds

We raised £5,678.88 from street collections carried out during the year

Razzle promoting greyhounds as pets during a street collection.

A further £2,431.87 was raised through organized events, our biggest being our Afternoon Tea!

Our fundraising team Penny and Adrian have raised £4,784 through car boot and stalls at local events this year

Petplan Commission raised £771.65

Gift Aid donations totaled £2,469.63

We have been lucky this year in being allowed to have access to the old equestrian sand school as an additional playground for our greyhounds to have fun in. It took a little expenditure to securely fence it for our purpose, but the greyhounds positively relish their sand school playtimes

Hula enjoying her playtime.

Greyhound Lifeline is working to increase the public benefit aspect of being a charity and we are doing this by organising therapeutic visits to local care homes for their residents and day centre visitors.  We now work with four care homes and two we visit fortnightly.

Thank You!

Quackers, Soda, Buster, Merlin, Captain, Marshall, Hula, Dynamo, Amigo and Sparrow would like to say a huge thank you for all the donations that have been arriving at the kennels over the last few weeks. We are all so grateful for the goodies – doggie and human treats included!

We hope you have all had a lovely Christmas and we look forward to working with you in the New Year, finding new homes for all the greyhounds that come into our care.

Post-Christmas Clear Out?
