It’s Christmas!
We would like to wish all our volunteers and supporters a very Merry Christmas. We hope you can all enjoy some ‘quiet’ time with family and friends.
We have had another very successful year and we thank everybody who has supported us in so many different roles.
The team look forward to working with you all in 2025.
Thank you once again from all the kennel greyhounds, Lucy and the human team.
Event Update:

Information about Rawhide:
Please be careful when buying your dog their Christmas treats, many shops are now selling extra special treats.
Rawhide is made from cattle or horse hides and their journey starts with the hide being soaked in a toxic sodium sulphide to remove the hair and fat. More chemicals are then used to spit the hide and give it, it’s “pure” white look.
On testing, these chews have shown traces of arsenic, mercury, chromium and formaldehyde.
Please keep your dogs safe this Christmas by leaving these chews in the shops.
Be careful with all the extra ‘human’ food/treats available during this festive season especially mince pies, cooked bones, chocolate, nuts and alcohol. There are many others, please keep them out of reach of your doggie friends who may become very ill if eaten.

Christmas Homing Dates:
Please note that the last adoption day prior to Christmas will be Saturday 7th December 2024. Normal homing’s will re-start on 1st January 2025.
Only in exceptional cases and in homes where there are no children resident will we consider relaxing this policy. The forthcoming holiday period can be a very stressful time for people and as such it is not generally a good time to bring a new dog into the home.
This decision has been made with the welfare of our greyhounds at the forefront of our minds. We hope that you understand our decision.
Viewings for greyhounds and potentially reservations will still be ongoing throughout the holiday period, so please continue to check for updates on our website.
