Jimi Has Been Homed

Jimi greyhound

Jimi was homed 08/10/2012.

He was born in May 2007 and is an average sized, white and black, castrated male with a loving and gentle nature.

Jimi would suit children aged 8 years and over.

Un-tested around cats at present.

Jimi’s foster carer describes him as follows:

Jimi shares his foster home with 2 other sighthounds and small terrier. He lives happily with canines of both sexes. He is really affectionate, a true “cuddle bunny” who likes nothing better than to snuggle with you on the sofa while on his back with his legs in the air!

Jimi does not like to be left for too long, so a home with part time workers or someone around most of the time is best suited to Jimi.   He could live as an only dog or with the company of a calm dog or bitch of any breed as a companion.

He absolutely loves his walks and is always keen to get in the car.

Jimi would benefit from dog experienced owners who can give him clear boundaries and further training.

He is in the process of being extensively socialised with all types of dog. Off the lead Jimi has good recall (although he’ll need to form a good bond with the new owners before any off lead exercise is even considered) and he is no bother around any breed of dog that he has met once the initial greetings are done with. Jimi however still needs to learn better manners for the first “hello” with other canines as some dogs can take offence at his rather too excitable approach.

On a lead Jimi needs to gain in confidence as he can be fearful when his choice to avoid another dog is removed.

Jimi is a bright lad and he learns quickly. With the right owner he will be able to overcome his problems and blossom into a confident and all round well mannered dog.

Jimi is an absolute pleasure to have around.
